Residential Window Cleaning FAQ

No. We clean, restore, and maintain glass. We don’t install or replace windows or frames.

Pricing is based on your specific service requests, window count and window type. Request a quote and we’ll get you an exact number fast.

No. Window glass cleaning is priced separately. Screens, sills, frames, and tracks can all be added on. Let us know when scheduling and we’ll include them in your quote.

Most Iowa homes benefit from 1 – 2 cleanings per year. Homes near busy roads, with mature trees, or irrigation systems with hard water that hit the glass may need to be cleaned more frequently. We recommend a lower frequency initially and increase frequency as needed. That way you’re only cleaning as often as your windows actually need it.

For exterior-only service, no. We can complete the work while you’re away and we’ll email your invoice when we’re done. If we’re cleaning interior windows, we do need someone home to let us in. Just let us know what services you’re scheduling and we’ll confirm what’s needed.

We work from scheduled appointment times, so you’ll already know when to expect us. We don’t call ahead by default, but if you’d prefer a heads-up before we arrive, just mention it when scheduling and we’ll note it on the work order. We’ll always reach out if something affects your appointment time, like weather or a schedule change.

For exterior window cleaning, make sure we can access the perimeter of your home: gates unlocked, vehicles moved if needed. For interior cleaning, it can be helpful to clear obstructions or fragile items near windows before we arrive, but we are also happy to carefully move things as needed.

We wear shoe covers inside your home and take care to protect your walls and siding where our ladders make contact. Any water on sills or frames gets wiped up as we work. We leave your windows clean and the rest of your home the way we found it.

Rain alone doesn’t make clean windows dirty, dirt does. Normal rainwater on clean glass typically runs off without leaving residue. We try to work around the rain but will typically work through light rain. We will reach out ahead of time if the weather requires rescheduling. Ultimately, if you’d prefer to wait for a clear day, just let us know; we’re flexible. Iowa weather being what it is, we’d rather work with you than leave you with a service date that doesn’t feel right.

On average between 1-3 hours. The time depends on the size of your home, number of windows, the condition of your windows, and whether you’re having the interior windows cleaned as well. We can give you a better estimate when you request a quote.

Typically we will have 2 crew members. This can vary depending on the size of your home, how many windows you have, and the services we’re completing.

No. Cloudiness between panes isn’t a cleaning issue, it’s a failed seal. When the seal on a double-pane window breaks, moisture gets trapped between the panes and can’t be cleaned out. The glass unit itself needs to be replaced. If we notice this during your service, we’ll let you know.
